Video Description: Before they started playing, Omar seemed pretty concerned about his rig, which was telling. Cedric admonished the crowd during the show on more than one occasion.......combined, the finish to an otherwise great show was a bummer. No excuse for stupid fans. The reason I posted this was to show dumb people ruining things for the rest of us. I totally respect what the Mars Volta did in reaction. It was amazing up until that point, and I can't wait to see them live again as soon as possible.

It's so sad when people does that kind of dumb shit. It's highly disrespectful and really shows how immature and what a disreputable person you are. I'm not mad at the person who did it, rather disappointed. The Mars Volta makes some of the best, truly expressive music around these days and they certainly don't deserve disrespect.

ha! those guys haven't figured out how to write a great melody-based song. I'm from houston, tx. I've run into them dudes a few times.
Their drummer is always great and they can all play their instruments well, but they just noodle on stage most of the time and scream. The last thing I want to do is waste my time hearing some drugged out dudes wasting my time and money jamming for two hours. Yeah, a bunch of geniuses. I dare one of em to write a catchy song.

Being from Washington, the state at fault, I was rather surprised when I heard about this incident. The music lovers here are usually receptive, open minded and responsive to all forms of music and musicians. Maybe it was due to the fact they on a bill with bands who have different types of personalities and maturity (or lack) levels. I see a fan of MotorHead doing something like that. A fan of Ozzy? Of course. Were any bands like this on the bill as well? It was EndFest.

Modest Mouse was originally slated before they cancelled, and The Mars Volta became a last minute replacement. You have many in the audience not familiar with their style of music, being pissed about Modest Mouse, and waiting for RHCP to take the stage. Not necessarily the best crowd to play to considering the circumstances.
