We seem to be over concerned about something that is many times less likely effect the average person as other things would. Obama isn't worried about safety, he wants control over us.

And as far as I remember, posession of a firearm isn't a crime unless you are already a convicted felon!
Its amazing how people like you complain about victimless crimes like drugs and prostitution, yet you have no problem making a protected right a criminal act.
Murderers don't find it hard to kill people. Do you think he will find it hard not to acquire a gun illegally? Guns are all over the place. Even if you take them away from law-abiding citizens, criminals will still get them. Take Britain: Every kid in a street gang has one even though they are illegal. Do you want to live in a country where only criminals and the government has them? Or do you want me to shoot the guy who is trying to mug you in the face?
Never forget why and how America fought for it's independence from the British. Disarm the people you say? Politicians are much more dangerous than gun-toting average citizens...
I don't think you're bad cause you want to ban guns, I just think the thought of banning guns for a peaceful society is a dream that will never happen. Even in countries that banned guns, maybe not as easily but murders still happen.

Yeah man, lets ban cars. But that won't work for the anti gunners because you own cars and you think you know how to drive, well we own guns and we know how to shoot and when not to shoot so get off our backs.
Is it really that hard to understand that taking the tools a murderer uses away, be it guns, knives, or whatever, will only cause him to find something else? It won't prevent murder.
Anyway, even if guns were outlawed, it would only make it less easy but wouldn't stop it. Just like drugs, they've been illegal for a long time and they're still very easy to get.

Wrap your brain around this one: if students were allowed to conceal carry or open carry a firearm, how many of thoes deaths could have been prevented?
It's statistically proven that firearm proliferation in communitys quell crime rates. At one time in a southern state, guns were required in homes. Crime rates dropped off dramatically.
