It isn't actually a bubble of energy that would use too much power it could be a laser or a sound wave. I think its a sound wave because in their labs they have a lot of acoustic equipment.

I have just read on this and it isnt actually new technology what it actually is is a anti missile projectile system. It consists of 2 radars and 2 projectile firing mechanisms on each side of the vehicle. It fires shotgun like pellets at the target.
America asked them to develop a similar system which uses small missiles as a projectile because it is less danger to infantry and it can take down larger missiles.

I dont get the fuss about this, Raytheon already has missile protection by means of directed energy weapons which will cover an ENTIRE AIRPORT.
It can track and destroy 7 targets in 2 seconds I believe. Check Raytheons site- its all there to buy if you've got the money!
