Video Description: When I look at how immense and vast God's universe is, I feel so VERY small in comparison. But then I stop and think about the fact that even with all He has created, He still cares for me and loved me enough to give His only son so that I could have redemption. I hope you all enjoy this one ... it's a bit of a departure from my previous videos, but it really makes you think and gives some perspective.

I can tell you that nowhere in the bible does it say we should commit crimes based on religion, etc. Now I have not read the Quran, but I have a friend who is muslim and he says that the Quran also has no remarks about comminting crimes against others. Have you read the Quran? I doubt that too. So in short I say again. Place blame where blame is due. On the radicals who commit the crime, not on religion.

how could somebody this amazing and this LIFE-CHANGING be considered mythology? God has brought people together in coutless ways--He has given people hope, and He is a MIRACLE worker. If God proves to be such an enormous impact in MILLIONS of people's lives, then there obviously has to be something incredible about him. Dude do your research there are several accounts of Jesus by people that were not in the bible, and did you know that almost all of His disciples were killed because they believed in Him. Have you actually read the bible? God commands the israelites to slaughter and pillage the cannanites and steal their land because they are "God's chosen people." There are verses that specifically say to destroy any city that does not worship the God of israel. There are also verses that condone slavery, sexism, and in at least one instance rape.

Yeah I have. i will point out that back then the cannanites where very sinful and would kill the isrealites without second thought which you didn't mention. So we need to point out thats different. For example if you shoot someone for no reason, thats bad. If you shoot someone whos going to shoot you, then guess what, self defense your not at fault. It is no different from back then. and the "steal their land." Well they'd be dead, so they wouldn't be using it so you might as well take it.

What are you talking about? The israelites were wandering the desert for 40 yrs, so how could the cannanites have bothered them at all? If you will recall, the israelites attacked first, whith the seige of jerico- the cannanites hadn't attacked them at all.
Not only did they attack first, but they slaughtered the women and the children, who would have been innocent in either case.

40 years wondering. Think about how much ground they covered. It isn't know exactly where they traveled (We know the start and end, but not the route) So it is fair to say that they had met before. Plus like many barbarian tribes, the cannanites would have not interacted with the isrealites, now not all cannanites where barbaric. But the majority was. The cannanites didn't get along with anybody. Another thing is we arn't God. You should stop pretending I know what he has in mind, cause I don't.

The bible specifies that they stayed in the desert for 40 yrs. The Canaanites didn't live in the desert.

Actually God specifically commanded the israelites to not make peace treaties with them in Exodus 34: 10-12, so it was the israelites who got along with no one.

You think the Cannanites didn't ever wonder what was beyond the desert? Back then people wandered the desert all the time, as a source of trade, discovery what have you. Even if they had the cannanites would have killed anyone the isrealies sent. So God was just making sure that they didn't loose anybody to discover that.

The bible doesn't mention any canaanite travelers attacking the israelites.
Even if they did, the actions of a few desert travelers do not justify the destruction of entire cities, or the slaughtering of innocent women and children. The israelites were the invaders, not the canaanites, so who was actually acting in self-defence?

Do you make records of all the squables you get into? It is more than likly they wouldn't have recorded it because more likly tahn anything they would be little more than arguements. I seriously doubt any blood would have been shed. But the relationship would have destroyed either way. Plus we don't have all the records from back then, many still missing many destroyed.
I do know God promised them land and the cannanites where barbarians who killed who weren't their own. COnt.

How can you claim that God is all-loving and good, while at the same time believing that he used to order the deaths of thousands of innocent people? This really isn't a matter of not knowing what God was thinking: you know right from wrong, and God was definitely wrong to have so many killed.
Luckily, I don't think anything in the Bible is actually true, so there's still hope...

They where notirius for being as such apparently (According to one of my friends, I don't have the article I'll get it from him) the cannanites not only killed all there enemys they would take the women and rape them prior to killing them, the children would be tossed from rooftops.
