How many southerners do you actually know -- or do you just get your information from stereotypes?
Are you aware that Oregon, (in case you can't find it on a map, it's just about as far from the South as you can get) was a "sunset" state until the 1930s? What that means is that the government posted signs in towns across the state, saying "N-----, don't let the sun set on you in this town."
