live drums wouldn't have sounded as vintage as the sample does. I dont believe it would have given the song as good as a feel as it has. I thought about the drums the first time i heard the song and i love the drum pattern!! however i did easily notice how dirty and unpolished they were. And i fuckin' love it! Like an old wu tang beat. Dirty and unpolished drums dont always fit and are usually the mark of a sub par producer but in this case, it knocks heavy! (my opinion).
