Video Description: This is a rundown of the new Schecter model for 2008, the C-7 Blackjack ATX. This is a 7 string that features Seymour Duncan's new Blackout pickups. I give a brief review and do a demo of this guitar with distorted and clean tones. I also compare it to my Schecter Loomis to try and get a feel of Blackouts vs. EMGz.

well Im not a big fan of thin necks like Ibanez...I dont know how Schecter will compare to Jackson but my guess is they arent far off

they are not that far off.. schecter and jackson necks are pretty similar..
if it gives you any idea.. schecter and ESP are sister companies.. and I think ESP/LTD necks are similar to jackson necks.. wich are both similar to a schecter neck

Schecter and ESP are owned by the same guy. They are run completely independently, so the only relationship is the owner.

You probably answered this, but what guage (brand) strings are you using. I see alot of people over at 7 string heaven are using "bridge cable", but when I tried using real heavy gauages it sounded bad.

It comes with Phase II blackout, they are the EMG 707 shaped ones. The Phase I are passive shaped.

My main rhythm tone is the Big Bottom patch with the drive at around 77%, bass, mids, treble and presence all between 1/2 and 3/4 on the dial. I also have the comp turned on and cranked up, as well as some slight chorus added to it.
The BBE 482i is pretty much set at the lo slightly below half and the process slightly above half. The EQ is set up to have a slight mid boost.
