Video Description: I didn't make this channel for the basketball, however latetly due to the Tim Donaghy betting scandal, I've decided to put together a little series about what's really going on in the NBA.
I thought it was a little odd for David Stern to be using Dick Bavetta at such a sensitive time like this in the wake of all the conspiracies out there. He literally makes these videos too easy, since they're all based on FACTS.
During the 1999 Eastern Conference Finals the 8th seeded New York Knicks made it all the way to the Finals thanks to a lot of blown calls by who other, Dick Bavetta.
2000, Knicks-Heat, Game 7 ... Knicks advance to the conference finals .. falling out of bounds, Latrell Sprewell awarded a timeout by referee Bennett Salvatore with 2.1 seconds left even though none of the Knicks called for one ... Sprewell admits after the game that he hadn't called a timeout .. the Miami players chase the referees off the court after the game, yelling that they had been robbed ... after the game, Jamal Mashburn tells reporters, "They had three officials in their pocket" and Tim Hardaway refers to referee Dick Bavetta as "Knick Bavetta."
Tiger Woods extends the US Open, so NBC and ABC, ESPN just picked up some more ratings this weekend. Also Tiger Woods said this morning that Kobe Bryant is the best basketball player ever. Nevermind the fact that Tiger is a HUGE Lakers fan. I gave up spending time with my dad on Father's Day in order to complete this so I hope all of you are appreciative.

How did the Lakers even get the Finals? The Utah Jazz could tell you. Kobe had 96 free attempts in 6 games, a 16 attempt per game avg! Jerry Sloan and Carlos Boozer both gave interviews on how terrible the reffing was. DAVID STERN AND THE FRONT OFFICE DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO MAKE THE LAKERS CELTICS SERIES HAPPEN AND KOBE WAS THEIR SUPER STAR. The league wins. TV ratings win. The fans lose.

A ref gets busted for betting on games, cops a plea bargain and names a couple of games from the distant past and all of a sudden the entire NBA is rigged? OK buddy. I understand you are upset the Kings choked in 2002 and will probably never get past the 1st round ever again. The Lakers were 3 time champs, face it, they were the team to beat. They pretty much swept everyone in 2001. Boston won last year. Is Boston a media market? San Antonio? gimme a break. What about NY? They haven't won.

I think this video is on point with the exception of that Kobe play. That was just a bad call. The series against Portland and Sac were all fixed. The lakers were also robbed in 06 against Pheonix.

thats not the point he's trying to make. doesn't matter who won the series, what matters is that the NBA wanted to make sure that all 3 possible games to be played in LA (A big market city) we're played. For that to happen..the Lakers HAD to win that game. The NBA Finals is Best of 4 out of 7 and the schedule went... @Bos, @Bos, @LA, @LA, @LA, @Bos, @Bos...LA had to win at least 1 time in the first 4 games to have a that third game in LA. That was neccessary...FOR THE MONEY.

fist off, i dont know what happened in 2002 but the lakers have gotten a lot of shit games called their way. Secondly, you must be an idiot to think that kobe didn't get ball on pierce. First off if you actually watched the game the showed the replay 20 times and he clearly touched ball and it was only AFTER the ball was out of the hands of paul pierce that kobe's hand continued it's motion and hit paul pierce on the side. even in your footage, kobe doesn't touch pierce until after ball is free
