The problem I have with that is what led up to the invasion. Why were UN Weapon inspectors constantly turned away, or not permitted in certain areas? So the UN and the US say, we just want to see whats going on, and he would defy both repeatedly. What was he hiding? Even after the ultimatums were issued, he continued to refuse simple inspections from the UN. What were we supposed to do? Issue another "harshly worded" letter? Haha.

I agree, Saddam was the Iraqi people's problem. But, I dont believe it can be considered "very ordered" When there was a somewhat organized resistance in Nazi Germany. Perhaps I would call it "mostly orderly". The German resistance to Hitler led to the imprissonment of millions (not all dissident), and execution of thousands for "resistance" of various forms. Point: Order really only existed by systematic execution, it was not self-sustaining.

There are reasons but I really do not care regardless. The point was ALL THE (so called) WMD were destroyed at Saddams expense and the last inspections were given free reign! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Now, Iran CERTAINLY has tons and a nuke program. They (post revolutionary) were NEVER our allies and linked to all kind of terrorist attacks, unlike former ally Saddam. Why did we have to divert from getting OBL to his enemy Saddam and not Iran then?
It is utterly ridiculous!

Define order how you like. My point is that Saddam was Iraqi people's problem and he kept the islamics in line a lot better than the USA ever will. Goofballs like Sadr kill US troops and run free (and we are now allies with former Saddam allies that killed US troops too). Did not dare do that in Saddams Iraq (he killed his father and older brother).
The slight chance some democracy will take hold in Iraq is not worth so many dead, wounded, resources and missed opportunities.

this video was added 18 months ago, meaning it was probably close to 2 yrs ago when this happened. and although the war isn't based on oil, the U.S. is receiving massive amounts of oil from occupied countries in return for our "services." also, Saddam Hussein is dead, but Osama bin Laden is alive (yes they are two different people) so its not really about 9/11 anymore, but i guess you could generalize terrorism if you were that ignorant

Oh also go back and look at at the 16 or 17 (can't remember how many) UN Resolutions were in place against Iraq already, including several for not allowing UN Inspectors to examine certain areas. But don't confuse yourself with the facts.

First of all, lots of countries violate UN resolutions (and Bush violated the UN charter with his illegal attack on Iraq) and we do not go to war with them.
Secondly, the final inspection regime was given free reign and NEVER obstructed. Furthermore, the previous inspections DESTROYED ALL THE WMD! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Can we say that about Iran which was NEVER our ally like Iraq?
THis war is NEVER going to be worth the lives, resources and missed opportunities it is costing.

This video is probably from the begining of the war because if you notice the Army Troops aren't wearing their new ACU or Digis whatever you call want to call them. ACU stands for Army Combat Uniform. The design was stolen from the Marines who first used it in the forest Digi.
