Yes. Hapa is so much more than part Asian. The term itself is borrowed Hawaiian. Thinking it has to pertain to only certain people goes against the meaning. Hapa means part. Not half not 1/4. Just part. I'm Japanese Spanish Portugese Filipino Chamorran Hawaiian Welsh Cherokee English French Norweigian and Swedish. Even if you took the Japanese Filipino Hawaiian and Chamorran I would still consider myself a Hapa.

I hate, hate, HATE the term "hapa". Why is being part Asian singled out as a requirement? What's so special about that as opposed to being part any other race? Why can't a half black/half latino be called hapa, too?
Also, I highly disagree with the statement that everyone will be mixed in the year 2050 or whatever. Yes, interracial relationships are completely fine but it's arrogant to assume that everyone should be in one.
