Personally, I think MJ is a overrated player. Don't get me wrong, he had a great shot, could jump like no one else, and was a great "clutch" player, but in my humble oppinion, he sometimes made some "selfish" moves and his FG % wasn't very special either, but yeah, MJ was one of the greatest players ever (though I still prefer Stockton/Malone :p ).
Peace guys

yeah but he played for the cavs from 91-97 and thats where he has his best success
Stockton and Malone ... ( 1 year ago by ForEmily23)
Stockton and Malone were good... too bad their "unselfish" style of play couldn't ever beat MJ's "selfish" play.
And there is no way you say a guy with six rings, six Finals MVPs, five league MVPs, 10 scoring titles, 3 all-star MVPs.....and much more... is overrated. That's perhaps one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

He had a really good season in 99-00 too, his best shooting % from the field and over 40% 3pt, and averaged 17 PPG in 71 games for Minnesota

Bird makes a good point, Magic and the Lakers had it so much easier in the West. The Celtics had to get through the Sixers and Pistons, who both won titles in the decade. The Lakers had a cakewalk to the finals.

Typically, MVP awards in all-star games, or any game/series, are never awarded to losing teams' players, FYI. Being that the East rookies won and AI had 19 pts and 9 dimes (not sure how the term spoon fed can apply to a ~6'0" guard anyways) he garnered the meaningless rookie game MVP award.
