This song to my knowledge is not a cover. Being that the yeah yeah yeahs are a punk band, I imagine she would've done some screaming beforehand.
Drunk screaming destroys your voice, like...absolutely wrecks. You can tell because her range is very limited without her voice cracking. Chances are it's hard for her to do the precision required in that part of the song, without shattering the glass in that place.
