This is an awesome preamp! The only bad thing I could say about it is that the channel switching is not footswitchable so you have to press a button, to swith the channels, but over all this is a killer preamp for the price. I think it cost 199 brand new!

nop, the footswitch is the FSR1 or FSR2 rocktron. , work whit Boss A-B footswitch

yup.thats actually the point of apreamp. to push an amp on the distortion channel even higher gain.thats why guitarists who use a series of preamps on cabinets instead of heads neeed a power amp for the basic distortion
