This is for hobby grade RC, not Radio shack or walmart RC car, on hobby grade RC you have a multitude of channel to chose from, and you can also change the frequency crystal

how much did your hobby grade rc cost i wont one?

It can range from around 150$ for an entry level car like Tamiya up to 1000$ or more, the one showed in this video cost around 500$, cost vary a lot with the quality of the car frame you choose, the radio you chose to put in as well as the motor and speed controller you put in... you can look the web for the following brand to get an idea: Team Losi, Tamiya, HPI, etc... some come ready to run with all you need, other are just the frame and you chose the radio and motor to put in.

HPI and Tamiya both have really nice looking bodies for on-road cars, some of their body have real looking lights buckets which make it perfect to install a lights kits in them, but you'll get better car frame from HPI than from tamiya, but you can put a tamiya body on a HPI car. their is also Yokomo who have really nice looking bodies with lights buckets, they dont sell them here locally but looking on their website, I would say they win the best looking rc car body award.
