I am really surprised Daniel called. He already said that he thought Gus may have had pocket 9's or 5's. I guess he really thought Gus was bluffing, but Daniel usually is able to walk away from something like that.

Are you kidding. I've been Playing live poker for 13 years, and seen way worst beats. Just 7 months ago I Flopped Quad 9's only to gave Queens Quad on the turn to beat me. Was $30 though not $600,000.:)

Awesome hand, I love Hold'em because of hands like this.
What makes this hand so great is the two guys in the showdown:
Negreanu - One of the best all-around players there is in any draw poker game. Spot on reads, great play after the flop, a good sportsman and a funny guy.
Hansen - Fearless, that word sums him up to perfection. What makes him deadly is his consistency, could be holding rags, could be holding rockets, but he pours on the pressure regardless.
This is what makes poker great.
