Sounds like all the law enforcement involved were stupid, including the prosecutor who took this long to drop the charges. Are we really supposed to respect them now? They are a joke.
The one thing that perhaps didn't help, was that the husband told her not to talk to officers until he got there. Well if she isn't talking, what else can they do but arrest her? When the husband got there, she was already in cuffs in the back of the police car.
