the bill that past last october stopped london stock based online companies from taking bets but continue to allow casinos that operate from canada/indian reservations and small contries that are privately owned to take U.S. bets...it is legal to gamble online federaly as testafied by the doj when asked under oath....just type in "bobby scott ppa" (on a youtube search) 2mins and a few seconds in you will hear it for yourself at a house judicary meeting...

Also, I don't understand where people can say that the prohibition of online gambling is good for our country b/c in reality, since people are gambling anyway - that revenue is now being siphoned out of the country's economy instead of being kept inside, used for government programs to pay for medicare and/or social security, & other such beneficial programs.
