CW I don't know how long you have been playing tavli, but here's a tip for you. Next time you find yourself in the same position, mind your chips during the bearing off period better. For example, don't have three chips in position 6 when the others are two a piece. What happens if you roll double six? This is even truer when your opponent has many chips waiting to get in.

I've had this game type happen to me a few times. Its all about bearing off, like the above guy said. At first having the opponent blocked is a beautiful thing, but once you start bearing pieces, it can be a definite hinderance once points become lonely blots.

Playing the 4-2 as 4/off 5/3 cost you .075 equity: not an outright blunder, but still a large mistake. In any case, play enough backgammon and you'll see much more amazing things, such as bearing off all but one man and then losing to an ace-point game.

this isnt a long game. as you were winning, your opponent blocked so you coudnt pass, but in my longest game this happened 4 times, it always changed between me and my opponent, so i had a four times longer match than yours.. i'd like to beat you too.... :)

4-2 terribly.Should've just bore from the 6 point.
then your 5-4 or any other number plays safe.

good on you for having the humility to post a video of you losing for the benefit of all. I'd go along with the 4-2 thing, that was the turning point, but BG playing is really a gift to all those who do

Had to watch that twice. I understand why you sped it up, but I had to pause it constantly to follow everything. Would have made a few different moves towards the beginning, not sure how much it'd pay off though since it's mostly a game of chance. Sucks that it backfired in the end.
