Windows Task Manager - Performance Explained

The Task Manager in Vista and XP provides detailed information about computer performance , specifically CPU usage, commit charge and memory information.
Video notes:
If the Total Commit Charge exceeds the Total Physical Memory, you probably need more RAM. When the Commit Charge is regularly higher than the Physical Memory available, it means that you have to regularly use a Page File, which may slow down your system down if its old. Buy more RAM in that case.
If the Peak Commit Charge is frequently at or near the Limit Commit Charge, you need to increase your memory. When this occurs, it means that your PC is frequently out of memory or close to being out of memory. Either add RAM or increase your Page File size.
Check the PF (PageFile Usage) make sure its not in the red, if so increase it as mentioned in my previous video here:

I have an awful CPU, it's a 2.7 GHz and watching a youtube video uses 80 % of that, we're getting a new computer in a few months though. Turns out our motherboard is outdated, doesn't even have a PCI Express slot.

probably because your running off 32bit XP/vista with a GPU higher than 512mb... ive heard rumours that if your graphics card memory and RAM exceeds 4GB in 32bit OS's that the remaining percent doesnt count, unless your running a 64bit OS environment.

Its probably your video card, could be sharing memory or used up for the system. If your bios says you have 4 Gig installed then you have nothing to worry about.

an easy way to do it is drage you mouse to the coner where the clock is right click your see tash manager
now if your come say that its use 120 mb
and you have 240 mb then you computer will work well its at it top speed
you want more speed add more ram
now ther is a seting in viau update speed
your see low normal or high
click high
look into add and remove program
take out the old program you dont use
thay take your ram
free you hard drive by defragmenter
