Suede and Blur are the two bands responsible for the beginning of Britpop back in 92 . A load of great bands followed but unfortunately the whole Blur v's Oasis stunt made a mockery of the scene and killed it. Still they were great times while they lasted. Saw Blur do a warm up at a Pub in Windsor for their Reading headliner in 93. Best gig I've ever been to. Everyone sensed it would be the start of somtehing big

like noel said, there are many good bands, but there are fucking good bands, that affect the way people talk, the way they dress. Oasis were the only fucking good band that connected to that generation. I was a super blur fan, until damon pulled that battle of britpop shit. He only did it to get in the way of oasis' rise
