It's called intelligence. He begins with likely words: see how he throws out a common name: and the woman chose herself! Then talks more than the people: he streams out words and ideas that he can change later. He gets a 'hit', by using a meaningless adjective beginning with the name of the deseased. And all he does, is look in their eyes and see the pupils dilate when he's close.
'She had a hat?' Big dilate. 'She had lots of hats?' Big dilate. 'She was the hat lady'!

This man does make a good point, but I can see people who have passed away and communicate with them. I know what I see, and NO I don't have some metal issue. Some "physics" are fake but a lot like John Edward are honest and true, in my opinion.

This comes across more as a bad joke than real "phychic scepticism." I personally feel that for a lot of his tricks Derren Brown uses the oldest trick in the book- the "plant in the audience."

Unbelievable. He asks more questions than he gives information. He fishes for hits by playing on the probabilites 'I hear an 'N' or an 'M'' As if the dead would say, 'Hi, my name begins with an M or an N'. And if you actually write down what he says, he, on average, gets about 4 or 5 wrong guesses to everyone he gets right. 'Your name, Your mother, or Grandmother....or sister? Yes?' = three wrong answers. But you only remember the hits and forget the rest.

freedom of speech is not that ability to say anything you like without fear of reprisal, it's the ability to express your opinions and views as long as these are not offensive to other people. saying heil hitler is pretty much offensive the the majority of the world. and saying fuck you is also considered offensive by most, and nudity is a whole other issue.

I don't think so: he's done hundreds of these 'cold (unprepared) readings', all based on his subjects' facial reactions and eye movements. It'd be silly for him to use a plant since he's sucessfully 'read' sceptics too often. Watch some of his early ones, like in the gay club and you can see how he does it.

I went to a church medium and he didn't seem to tell me enough...I went outside and a lady who showed up said he wasn't very good, and I said well can you give me the phone number of my boyfriend that ditched me. She said yes and gave me a number. 3 years later I found the number and noticed it was the phone number of my best girlfriend but totally and exactly reversed. So, what ever happens... fake, is mixed in with weird psychic stuff. His lies added on doens't mean there's no psychic mind.
