Yes that is true, however, Bush and his camp lied about their reasons to go to war in Iraq. That war is bankrupting the US. Other world leaders have been prosecuted for war crimes, etc. Slobodan Milošević is a good example. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al should be prosecuted for war crimes.

Nice language juniemoon. They aren't my congress, I am not a US citizen. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al are guilty of international war crimes and should be prosecuted. A number of factors have contributed to the collapse of the US economy. The US government is borrowing billions to fund the war in Iraq, which US citizens will be paying back for decades. You've been screwed by your government. Dick Cheney converted his wealth to foreign currency and he bought a home in Dubai before the collapse.

Do the words "spread the wealth around" ring a bell? If you are wondering how this happened, well thats it. This socialist notion of "everybody gets a house" is what ruined this economy. Issuing ARM loans to people with risky or no credit was a sure recipe for disaster. The blame rests with politicians? Yes. But also with ourselves. Why would you buy a home, that you KNEW you could not afford, and with an ARM loan to boot. Madness. Complete and utter madness.

The period of 6-18 months for the people to learn the harmful basics seems a joke. As majority of US citizens is educated & aware of the economical crisis. Cheap waged laborers are due to growing global population in search of food. But creating joblessness in USA in search of cheap foreign labor is not the answer. It will burst the economy balloon being patched. The interest rates may be revised to the applicable level. But creating disharmony or joblessness doesnt solve the economical decline
