I agree with you. My son's paternal grandmother put him on risperdal for behavioral issues and the psychiatrist put him on it with out even talking to me and this bitch goes to the mental health clinic because she has bipolar. I am the custodial parent. I could believe they would listen to a mentally ill person. They won't listen to me and take me seriously. Has anyone else had this problem? Please let me know.

I was in the hospital three times as a child with children as young as three and four many there for "anger" issues and "defiance" others for such severe issues as suicide, eating disorders, and hallucinations. Most of these children were between five and nine years old, mental illness starts at any age.

I'm sorry to hear that, rispridual is a powerful medication. I wish your son all the best. Still, with all respect, having a mental illness doesn't discard your judgement. I've lived with ADHD, OCD, and Tourette since I was 5, but I love Emmy with all my heart & would never let harm come to her.

It's the insentive from the states goverment DHS of $10.ooo a month to keep the children in Foster care.Adopted out they get a bonus of &4.000.CASA workers can help get you your child back but,the Youth Court always say we don't have one for you.My daughter @ 16 the YC sent her to the state hosp,wanted her to take meds,she said NO.She's top out of 300 in her flight in the USAF Staff Sergent NOW.She ran & got on the radio,the DJ got her from them,4 cops 3 attorneys went to court 4 her.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! There are NATURAL alternatives to these meds! My husband and I are foster parents and believe ALL meds are WAY overused and abused. Most of these kids need a lot of love and therapy to help them deal with grief and loss. They DON'T need all these stupid drugs with TERRIBLE side effects!
