Did I mention Ive been in regs inf for near 10 years and no singo or kapooka did I did I ian on cant remember yeah (true) If any australian soldiers out there know of another please mesage me I havent met one yet who have at least done one to get into infantry.

Awesome vid. Great footage of our fresh crop of young diggers going through their introduction to the infantry corps. What an awesome heritage these young men are heir to. A long history of professionalism. Great song too and great words. Who's it by? Audioslave?

Whats the range of weapons training recruits get in reserves? I'm going in very soon and cant wait to fire some of these babies lol.

Great vid mate. How did you find the course? What would you have done more of to prepare if you had to do it again? Just interested as I'm going to join in not too long.

uhm depends what ur going in as i guess, u'll atleast get to use the f88 austeyr, f89 minimi light suport weapon, if ur going rifleman, mag 58 light direct fire support weapon, grenade launcher asembly, hand grenades, claymore anti personel mines, sometimes an m16 maybe, i only know frm research cause i just passed my assessment but havn't been posted to my unit yet.

Yeah done my you session but waiting to do assessment. Im going in as medic so probably wont do too much weapons handling I guess. Although I will try to do more training at some stage.

Recruit training is at Kapooka, IET is done at the School of Infantry at Singleton, although you don't have to go there if you are a reservist.

The reservists don't go to singleton, well the ones i know didn't and they miss out on things like MSD and other crap. Urban training and things.
