and have had their bankrolls rollercoaster twice as much as hellmuth. When u play as conservative as phil ur less likely to go through those types of rollercoasters with ur stack...but when u play like daniel, better yet BRUNSON...ur gambling alot more, but when u hit...man do u get paid!!!!!

I have yet to figure out where Hellmuth played conservative during the first season of High Stakes poker.
His problem was that he was paranoid, thinking that people were taking shots at him, and played hands he should have folded. If he played his game, played conservative and made the folds, he wouldn't have lost.

It's not that he gave his hand away. It's that he made Antonio just a little more curious and suspicious about what Daniel had. Antonio decided to spend the rest of his stack to look him up. The trick to running a bluff is to make the guy comfortable with folding - not suspicious.

nice move by daniel against johnny chan with a draw.brad booth makes a similar move in high stakes poker 3rd season against phil ivey he went all in on a straight board cause he figured he could get phil to fold. You would not usually go all in like that with a made hand like a set or a made straight unless you knew your opponent had a very strong hand.
