He has a voice like no ther. Do you know he does at least one cover per album to test his vocals. Few artists are willing to take that risk. On this album, he tried to take on Nina Simone (Wild Is the Wind).

A song that commands you to listen to the world he paints to. The gift is his ability to make you want to evolve with him. The emotions come through raw as a punch on the jaw-telling you the whole story without needing to compromise a single thing for anyone else's sake. Sure he wants you to here it because he has to teach a new emotion that didn't even exist until he invented it.
Our minds grow as we watch him educate himself (and us) in the process of discovering a new dimension in ourselves.

He does create new dimensions within ourselves. Above all else, Bowie creates. He is raw, although very refined in that his vocals are perfect. And his song-writing is pure, as evidenced in The Man Who Fell To Earth where there aren't even any vocals for many of the tracks. If I ever had the chance to sit down and talk to somebody of this calibre for ten minutes just to get inside their head, I would choose Boiwie. Have you seen his art? More creation. Have you seen him live?

Yes i saw Bowie in Syracuse NY on the Serious Moonlight tour. A highlight of my youth and I was really in love at the time. My Pontiac Lemans had just broken down-i already had the tickets. One of my friends drove me from Binghamton NY to Syracuse in his Pontiac Trans AM faster than humanely possible-literally pushing cars out of the way so me and my girlfriend could get there on time.
We made it on time, got to see my hero and that night my girlfriend had her first double orgasm at the hotel.

Ha! I had a Lemans, too, which was seriously cool at the time. I last saw Bowie two years ago in Toronto and he was in top form. He was performing with Moby (whom I also respect). It was wonderful because I saw two artists who I loved at the same time. I could have had a double orgasm but I was with my husband and son and that would have been just wrong! One thing I noted that the crowd was a mix of ages, yet all knew the lyrics to all his songs and the concert transcended time. It was magical.

Well it's wonderful for you to be conjuring up images of happy times listening and watching Bowie. You've made me decide to post some rather esoteric comments today on space oddity,jean genie,life on mars,heroes,1984,ashes to ashes-exceeding my limit but enjoying making some comments. The interesting thing is, that you come to realize that although other artists are great, Bowie stands out as the one indispensable catalyst in other artist's raison d'etre. I can listen to one song again and again

What a wonderful blast from the past. My mother took me to the March 1976 show at Madison Square Garden when I was 13 and falling in love with Bowie. Somehow we managed 8th row seats and we were mesmerized for the whole show.

I consider this tour to be his best vocally. I love his pacing, his stretch on word pronunciation (English accent works so well in cases like this imo), his energy!! Lucky audiences.

I love this song so much! I'm a great Bowie fan. Vocally the Serious Moonlight Tour was brilliant. But his later albums in the 80's were too "mainstream" in my opinion... Bowie forever!
