I haven't seen this since I was in school, but I seem to remember drawing parallels between The Lottery and the military draft. Can anyone else see any comparisons? I thought the film was timely considering the Vietnam war. Am I wrong? I haven't seen the film or read the story in about 35 yrs.!

Wow! I am surprised they are still showing this video in schools. I saw this movie, not in high school, but in the 70's when I was in 4th or 5th grade. To this day I still remember most of the movie as it had a pretty shocking affect on my 9 or 10 year old mind.
