when he's describing what the guy has to do, hes implanting the four of spades into his mind using NLP. the rest of the trick is easy if you can make the guy pick the right card

3 of Hearts, you say to yourself, everything but the 3 of hearts, so what does your mind do?!
An automatic reaction you pick one higher then 3 = 4, and then your mind wants to create a heart, but it doesn't so it creates a spade, what seems like a heart. So the number, will always everythime be right
With the people having Clubs the Mind thought: Something that doesn't look like a Heart at all, Clubs, the diamonds will not easily be picked because it's the same colour

before the trick he organised the cards, and then followed the eye of the victim, getting to know what approximate part of the line of cards he looked at. He looked on the left, so the guy, with previous knlowledge of the cards organisation narrowed the guesses down to one card by asking those two or three key questions. Its all about how you organise the cards and how appropriate your questions are )) I know the trick myself.

I don't normally comment on methods, as YouTube is for the general public and not a magic forum. However, the method you've just described is not how it's done, so therefore don't act like you know the trick. No "real" performer would incorporate something as useless as that. That would just be highly impractical and the success rate would be less than 2 percent, and you might as well guess. The actual method is very devious and any mentalist should understand the concepts being employed.

derren's smoke is a fantastic effect and the only problem i had with that performance is that you should have been smoking throughout the peformance. I'm guessing you are a non smoker. Nice presentation. Great reaction.

I'd love to watch it. Is it going to be aired only in the UK or in the US? If it's going to be aired in the US, what station and what time? I've been wanting to get Richard's DVD "URBAN." Also, did Richard come up with Trilogy Streamlined? I don't own this yet, but I think I'm gonna have to by one because the effect and method is just brilliant.

Yeah, when I perform this for Native Americans, they generally think of Red cards. And then after I throw down the burnt card on the ground, a single tear falls down there cheek.

no chance. this trick is (probably) more of a force but not a physical force with the sleight of hand. im guessing its a mental force by suggestion. i dont think he's lying when he was talking about perception.
what i'm curious about is whether the force was complete or did the specific target actually have some factor in which card it was (im guessing no because he needed to have that card for the 'smoke')
really nice trick, hit hard... then again i've only looked into this 'stuff' recently :)
