Nah everyone is way too critical of Galfond, the guy has been killing the highest stakes games on fulltilt, playing against people like phil ivey, david benyamine, patrick antonius.. if gold played in those games he would eventually go broke. This was Galfond's first time playing a big live cash game, and he did pretty well. I dont understand all the haters. Galfond and Harman get all this stick, and Ive no idea why. They are both top class players, and I doubt anyone here plays higher that 2/5

jamie gold does not know how to value bet and jus like gabe said extracting the most out of ur opponent is significant in poker. i wouldnt be surprised if he loses all his 12mil within 10 yrs if he doesnt get better. im not saying hes a terrible poker player but he does hav ALOT of holes in his game.

Unfortunately there's no season 5. Sadly a lot of the reason seems to be the backlash from GSN viewers who love their game shows and hated seeing poker once a week (check the gsn forums for some stupid comments along those lines).

i agree with you that Galfond is a awsome player and dosent deserve ANY flak. He plays great. However im sure plenty of us play much higher then 2/5, I play 100/200 sometimes 200/400 in limit games and 25/50 for no limit games. All walks of life can love high stakes poker and they do because this was a truely entertaining to watch show. It is easily my top 5 TV shows for my lifetime and I really wish GSN didnt cancel it. PLEASE BRING BACK THIS SHOW GSN!!!

Yeah, unless you actually have the best hand. The entire value of Jamie's style comes from getting paid off but he doesnt make any value bets. It makes no sense whatsoever. I don't think he really cares he just wants to gamble he doesn't really give a crap about getting value.
