There is something special about this song. Something magical. I heard this song for the first time when I was a young kid and I still remember the moment like it was yesterday. It was one of those moments where everything aligns - a happy circumstance and then a song comes on like Africa that just cements it in memory.

One of the best tunes, period. It's been cut up, and sampled by everybody, including Ja Rule. Amazing what a two-bar drum loop can be if given the right circumstance. Jeff detailed this in a modern drummer article -talked about how he and Lenny got it down to two bars for the verses....TIMELESS.
