yep. i like in pakistan so i had a friend bring the guitar and amp (vox ad15vt-xl) from the US. Problem now seems ot be with the amp though. One a friend's amp the guitar hums a lot less (which I suppose will go away after shielding), but it's largely negligible. My friend plugged his Ibanez into my amp and it still made the same amount of hum. All I wanted was a guitar that was noiseless *waves fist*! What's worse is that this guitar sounds simply amazing too :(

To my knowledge, I believe the reissues are only the made in mexico, and made in japan. I dont think I have seen the american version of this telecaster as a reissue.
The mexian made that I have really sounds great. It came stock with american pickups and electronics.
