Holy God!? Is this from the ONE and only live performance of this song??? i have a different practice session one on the "Heart and Soul" collection but this sounds way better!

Note the change in lyric when Barney sings it.I always prefered the slower New order version as i always thought it was a homage to Ian and a final full stop.New order saying time to move on.
Still its the greatest song ever after all these years.
"Forever watching love grow" - i find it a really sad lyric. Mind you like Ian im a City fan as well.

I'm 16 and I love Curtis's music as well as countless other musical icons that are considered "Obscure references" in my High School. I do agree however that most people my age listen to garbage and need to open their eyes.

meh, it does sound ignorant, but when you think of it, its pretty true.
Fallout boy? soldier boy? AFI? Cute is what we aim for? Death cab for cutey? Okay go? Katey perry?
Think about it, all those bands (or singers) i listed are all on the radio, all contemporary, and all unoriginal smut.
And Fall out boys cover of "love will tear us apart" was the worst thing id ever heard.
They took it, ripped it up, and made it sound all cutesy-cutesy and techno. ugh...

all the bands that you have just listed are very commercial. The whole point i was making is that there are hundreds of modern underground indie bands that if you look hard enough you will find are incredibly innovative and so good, and there are even popular bands that are also good. A list: Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Radiohead, MGMT, TV on the Radio, etc etc. Just look dude. You'll find some stuff.

And im not saying ALL modern music is bad, in fact, im a big fan of Modest Mouse.
But honestly? Take it from a guy whos constantly surrounded by shitty modern music - a 14 year old. You think i enjoy listening to soldier boy at 6 o clock in the morning, blasting from some kids mp3 player, on my way to school?
