Leonardo Dicaprio is catching up though. Marty has directed him in 3 films already, and 1 more that we know of in the future. Here they are:
1) Gangs of New York (2002)
2) The Aviator (2004)
3) The Deaparted (2006) For which he finally won the Academy Award for Best Director
4) The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt (2008)
He just needs 4 more and he is tied up with DeNiro

I agree. DiCaprio is quickly becoming Scorsese's new DeNiro. 'The Departed' was great, and Scorsese's est film since 'Goodfellas' (1990). At the rate he's going, DiCaprio will eventually catch up to DeNiro in his Scorsese collaborations.

My favorite of the Scorsese/DiCaprio collaborations is easily 'The Departed' (2006). By far, one of the best films Scorsese has ever directed.

I can see wut u mean th Deaprted was great but I expected more from it when I first saw it probably because i expected more mob stuff from it but it's more about dicaprio who is the undercover mole inside the irish mafia and damons character who is a cop also a snitch for the irish mafia. Once I saw it again I realized wut a great film it was. But i think the best deniro and scorsese collaboration is goodfellas, that is scorseses best movie

Please don't even fucking compare DiCaprio with De Niro. DiCaprio is the worst actor ive ever seen. Shiet, he could be the side kick to Chuck Norris in Texas Ranger.. Scorsese is getting old and is losing his grip. I mean, DiCaprio, hes a fucking punk..
